Specifications include, but are not limited to: Section A-Sign Language Interpreters 1. Interpreters must meet the state minimum requirement for “qualified” interpreters (i.e., EIPA or RID National Certification). 2. Interpreters must provide a copy of their licensure upon request. 3. GCPS will utilize an agency based on need and availability. 4. Mileage cap must be less than fifty (50) miles for local travel. 5. Monthly billing is required for ongoing assignments. Section B-Speech Language Pathologists 1. SLP’s must meet the state minimum requirement for “qualified” Speech Language Pathologist (i.e. Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathologist). 2. SLP’s must provide a copy of certification upon request. 3. GCPS reserves the right to secure services from other agencies. 4. A local school administrator will be assigned to verify and sign weekly timesheets. 5. Monthly billing is required for ongoing assignments. 6. Overtime will not be paid unless preapproved by program coordinator. 7. If a candidate chooses to participate in a professional conference that is not required, registration will be the candidate’s personal responsibility or the responsibility of the agency and an hourly rate will not be paid. 8. GCPS reserves the right to discontinue an agreement with a given candidate/company with a 30 day notice.
