Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. The City of Covington (Owner) is seeking qualified and licensed contractors (Contractor) to submit a proposal to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools and services necessary to furnish and install a new HVAC system for Land Application System (LAS) Building #1. 1.2. The Owner requests a suitable HVAC replacement system that is efficient, costeffective and eco-friendly, such as a mini-split system or equivalent 1.3. The Contractor shall also remove from LAS Building #1 the two (2) existing HVAC roof top units (RTUs) and properly seal the two (2) roof penetrations. 1.4. Replace: RTU #1 serving a single (16’ x 15’’) room which contains a variable speed drive system that does produce heat during its operation. Allowable ambient drive temperatures are extreme and the space has only limited occupancy. The temperature controls are for longevity and efficiency of the drive system with a suggested average range of 60-65 F (winter) to 80-85 F (summer). 1.5. Replace: RTU #2 serves two separate rooms, one (6’ x 15’) full bathroom and one (10’ x 15’) break room area. Temperature requirements are that of a typical business or household environment. 1.6. EXHIBIT A shows LAS Building #1 electrical panel location, the current RTUs tonnage and the square footage to be served. LAS Building #1 service areas contain drop ceiling tiles.
