Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall furnish all staff, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to accomplish the mowing, weed trimming, hedge trimming, edging, landscape maintenance and leaf mulching of all areas. Beginning And End Of Season : This is a year-round contract. Generally, the lawn-mowing season will begin on or about mid-March of each year of this Contract, and end on or about November 30, or as mutually agreeable due to weather conditions or in the best interests of the Athens Housing Authority. Frequency: Mowing shall take place on an as-needed basis (approximately 36-40 mowings). The Contractor will establish specific and consistent workdays. Cancellation of a scheduled weekly mowing, or any portion of the mowing, is permitted by the Authority if any part of the scheduled mowing is determined to be unnecessary or undesirable by the Athens Housing Authority. The Authority agrees to provide notice of cancellation by noon of the day preceding scheduled work to be canceled. Day(s) Of The Week : Work shall be scheduled to take place on a weekly basis on Monday through Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and AHA observed holidays, or as mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and the Authority. Time Allotted From Mowing Beginning To End: All scheduled mowing shall be commenced and completed in one day as specified unless otherwise rescheduled due to inclement weather. Contractor shall be obligated to complete mowing in one day, weather and other conditions permitting. Failure to do so may be grounds for termination of this Contract. Weather permitting, work shall be continuous. Inclement Weather Rescheduling: Contractor may cancel all or part of a scheduled mowing due to inclement weather. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to contact the Athens Housing Authority when such cancellation is necessary. Inclement weather shall be defined as weather that both the Contractor and the Athens Housing Authority agree makes the accomplishment of quality work unfeasible, unusually time-consuming, or potentially dangerous, or harmful. In the event mutual agreement cannot be reached for a particular mowing, the Contractor shall make the inclement weather determination. However in the event the Authority feels the Contractor is inappropriate in their use of this provision, the Authority reserves the right to cancel this Contract or withhold payment.
