PHASE I Prepare concept through schematic design documents for the proposed gateway monument signs, including but not limited to adjacent landscape areas. Provide a thorough analysis of signage materials, visibility, lighting, susceptibility to vandalism, branding effectiveness, peer institutions use of signage and other considerations. Detailed graphic design of required lettering, seal, and font style will be coordinated with Georgia Techs Communications & Marketing Department. 1. Concept Design A kick-off meeting with the CPSM team and key stake holders will be held to present the selected teams design solutions. Comments from GT regarding the competition design will be provided. The consultant will develop conceptual design solutions using visualization methods as needed to clearly communicate the design intent. The design solutions will be illustrated to scale and relative to the various site conditions. General recommendations for materials and lighting should be represented during this phase. The concepts will then be presented to the Georgia Tech Planning and Design Commission (PDC). The PDC is made up of architects and landscape architects from across the country, each recognized for his or her achievements in planning and design. The PDC also includes senior members of the Institute staff.
