Specifications include, but are not limited to: Manage the day-to-day operations and business affairs of the Georgia War Veterans Home (hereinafter referred to as the Home, or the GWVH) with the objective of providing high quality care that meets and/or exceeds the established standards of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Georgia Department of Community Health (GDCH) and other nationally recognized accrediting organizations, such as The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (formerly the JCAHO, The Joint Commission). b. Comply with 38 CFR Part 51, Subparts A, B, C, and D, Per Diem for Nursing Home, Domiciliary, or Adult Day Health Care of Veterans in State Homes which is incorporated by reference that provide the regulations and standards of the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs [formerly known as the Veterans Administration] (hereinafter known as the “VA”) (NOTE: The Home does not provide domiciliary care and adult day care health services.); c. Comply with the laws of the State of Georgia; the rules and regulations of the Georgia Department of Veterans Services (hereinafter referred to as the Department, or the GDVS) on the operation of the Home; and d. Comply with the rules and regulations of the Georgia Department of Community Health (GDCH) Healthcare Facilities Regulation Division regarding the operation of the Home and the provision of skilled nursing care therein; as amended and is incorporated into this SOW by reference.
