Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The trainer must be constructed using a 2016 or later 6.6 liter Duramax Diesel or equivalent engine. If an alternate to the Duramax is chosen it must be at least a 6.6 liter or greater displacement in a V8 configuration with an automatic transmission. The trainer must have an Allison automatic transmission attached to the engine. • The trainer must start and run with all emission control devices fully functional. It must come with an EGR system and an Exhaust system with DEF system fully functional. • The trainer must come equipped with the appropriate type and amount of batteries that the trainer requires to start and function. • The trainer must be equipped with a fully functional cooling system. • The trainer must be mounted on a frame that is capable of supporting the weight of the trainer (Approximately 4000 lbs). • The trainer must be constructed of a minimum of 5 inch square tubing, and must come equipped with heavy duty casters capable of allowing the trainer to be safely moved. The casters must be at least 5 to 6 inches in diameter. The steel frame must come with a powder coated finish. • The manufacturer of the trainer must provide illustrations of their proposed trainer that meets the bid specifications. The company must also provide detailed and itemized construction specifications, cut sheets, a Schematic Diagram or a CAD Drawing for their proposed trainer. These items must be submitted with the bid response and will be utilized to ensure the proposed trainer meets or exceeds the bid specifications and is safe for student use. • The engine must be equipped with a fully functional OEM turbo charger system. • The trainer must be equipped with a fully functional fuel system including a tank and pump. • The trainer must include a functional OEM instrument cluster with a functioning MIL lamp. • The trainer must be equipped with two sets of functional keys and/or key fobs.
