Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD), Savannah Impact Program (SIP) - Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Program is seeking proposals from qualified parties to provide GED/Adult Education services to youth participants in the WIA Program. WIA is seeking an adult education career pathways program instructor. This program should assist in developing a framework for professional development to those youth that are basic skills deficient. The successful proposer shall provide the following services at a minimum:-Provide one adult education instructor experienced with at-risk youth. Instructor musteffectively practice an interactive teaching methodology to counteract low-skilledparticipants lacking social and cognitive skills.-Provide classroom instruction for students 16 years of age and older.-Be responsible for all instructional classroom substitutions for absences, training, andemergencies when reasonable.-Provide opportunities for adult literacy training to instructors.-Invoice Savannah Impact Program on a monthly basis for the cost of the instructor.-Provide TABE testing for all SIP/WIA clients entering the adult education program.-Provide daily attendance record to Savannah Impact Program.-Provide monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports to Savannah Impact as required.-Coordinate the scheduling of the GED test with the WIA Lead Youth Specialist for eligibleparticipants.-Provide educational resource materials via computer software and literacy handouts, basictyping and any other training resource materials.-Provide curriculum to ensure the relevance and rigor of the program.
