The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment and cleaning supplies necessary to accomplish the cleaning and sanitizing of the Department of Driver Services/Customer Service Centers (hereinafter, “State Entity” and “CSC”). The contractor shall maintain an efficient and effective service in strict accordance with all terms, conditions, contract clauses, specifications and attachments contained herein or incorporated by reference. It is the intent of the State Entity to have the Contractor provide all custodial services associated with the operation of the CSC sites. Cleaning and janitorial services shall include, but are not limited to the following: General Cleaning – Shall be performed on the established days per each CSC with the exception of observed legal state holidays. Specific Cleaning – Will be performed according to the frequencies listed below. Public area carpet cleaning, as well as lobby and restroom refinishing/resurfacing shall be performed on Saturday nights, when possible, to allow maximum drying time with minimum traffic. This is not an exhaustive list of all work and is not to be limited in any manner. Therefore, other items which may not be specific in nature, but are generally considered within the scope of custodial work, are included. Building Information All services shall be performed after regular operating hours on the established days for each CSC as listed on the CSC information sheet. Contractor Responsibilities The contractor will be responsible for performing all work and/or supplying all materials as specified. The contractor will ensure proper performance of the work as well as proper operation of any equipment used and/or installed on this project. Only electrically operated machines are to be used in CSC facilities. The use of gasoline, propane, etc., type machines is strictly prohibited. All carpeted surfaces shall be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner that is equipped with a beater bar/brush. Contractor shall be responsible for all handling, off-loading, hoisting and transporting tools, equipment and cleaning supplies to the work location. Contractor shall not use basic bleach as a cleaning agent. Chemicals for general cleaning shall include, but not be limited to basic janitorial cleaning products, i.e. mild sanitizer/disinfectant, general/all-purpose cleaner, window/glass cleaner. Contractor shall acknowledge the cleaning schedule and include sufficient crew sizes and mobilizations to complete activities in scheduled time frames. Contractor shall acknowledge that the public areas will include, but may not be limited to, all entrances and lobbies, including State Entity parking lot areas. Contractor shall acknowledge that office space will include all work areas, private offices, break rooms, conference rooms, training rooms, libraries and any other space that is not designated as a public area or restroom. Contractor shall review the site and become aware of the site conditions and the location where contractor’s work shall be put in place.
