The scope of this project is to remove the following Audio-Visual Information System (AVIS) equipment from the Five Points concourse and plaza levels: a. One hundred and seventeen (117) AVIS public address speakers; b. Twelve (12) AVIS electronic sign displays; and c. Two (2) ambient microphones. d. One (1) end of line device for speaker zone termination. e. Verify that all electronic signs and p.a. functions throughout the rest of the station operate normally after concourse and plaza equipment is removal. f. Safely secure all wiring, conductor, mounting equipment, etc. that may cause a hazard to the riding public. Removal of this equipment will require use of lifts, forklifts, or cranes to remove heavy and/or bulky equipment at elevated levels. Other equipment may be needed to complete the removal of this equipment and must be determined by the Contractor. If scaffolding is needed to remove the AVIS elements and it will remain in place for more than 120-days, the scaffolding design must be approved by the DSQA System Safety Engineers before erecting. If falsework is needed to remove the AVIS elements or existing falsework erected by others needs modification to facilitate the removal of AVIS elements, the falsework design must be approved by the DSQA System Safety Engineers before erecting. All electronic signage, speakers and ambient microphones including mounting equipment will need to be carefully removed and transported to MARTA’s Headquarters Annex building located at 2400 Piedmont Road, Atlanta, GA 30324. All cablings including electrical, and data/communications will need to be carefully disconnected from the equipment’s interfaces to avoid damage to internal components.
