Specifications include, but are not limited to: The screening and re-coating of 13 CCSD middle school and high school gym floors. There will be a summer screening in July of each year for middle and high schools and a second screening for the high schools in December of each year. Facilities, Maintenance and Operations (FMO) will work with the successful bidder to provide facility access for any required extended workdays for the successful completion of the project. FMO will provide the specific dates and work with the contractor to establish the schedule for summer and winter work. The successful bidder will be able to complete the summer work within 4 days and the winter work within 2 days. The successful bidder must submit a schedule to FMO before starting work. The specifications of the final finish is urethane, oil-based, Group 3, Gymnasium surface finish in accordance with the Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association (MFMA) published “Athletic Flooring Sealer and Finish Specifications and Conformance List #28, Effective 01-01-2010”. Summer work is to include 2 coats of polyurethane. High schools to get a second annual screening to consist of a light sand and 1 top coat of polyurethane. No chemical strippers to be utilized.
