The Department of Parking and Transportation at Savannah State University is seeking a supplier to provide comprehensive event parking services throughout the year. Supplier must be able to provide all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary for fully functioning event parking operations. Some of the materials needed include, but are not limited to, vests, parking cones, barricades, sandwich boards, hand flags, flashlights, parking vouchers/tickets issued by SSU, communication devices, and Sharpie markers. Other equipment, such as digital signage, golf carts, portable lighting, and tents, are among other items that may be required. All staff must be on site and ready to conduct business at a designated time as determined by the Department of Parking and Transportation. Personnel must wear SSU-approved clothing (vests, etc.) so that they are easily identifiable. Supplier must provide the number of employees requested. Supplier may NOT contract any of the labor required for staffing the event. The majority of the lots utilized for events are owned by SSU and SSU Foundation but the supplier may be required to staff externally owned lots as well. Supplier’s employees may park at their specific work location at no charge. Many events occur annually; there are also non-scheduled special events for which the supplier will be contacted. SSU Parking and Transportation will notify the supplier as soon as they are aware of the event.
