Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Dougherty County School System provides all basic public education services required by State law and the State Board of Education policy. These services include: regular and special education instruction at the elementary, middle, and secondary levels; pre-kindergarten services, and other services that exceed the legal requirement. The school system is governed by a five-member board of education elected by the voters of the county. The Board is responsible for establishing all policy related to this governance.
