The street sweeper must be new, of current manufacture, and the model/series must have been in continuous production for at least ten (10) years. The supplier must provide references from five (5) current customers using the model offered. All components required for proper operation and reliability must be included and meet or exceed industry standards for durability and performance. The unit shall be delivered fully assembled, serviced, and ready for immediate operation, with supplier-provided startup support and operator instruction. The unit shall carry a comprehensive warranty for a minimum of 12 months or 1,000 operating hours covering materials and workmanship. Manuals and Training The supplier shall provide one printed operator’s manual and one printed parts/service manual, plus one electronic copy of each. One operator’s manual must be supplied for the auxiliary engine. The manufacturer must offer a training course for complete maintenance and operation of the sweeper at no additional charge, with at least 20 scheduled sessions per year open to customers. Video materials covering operator instructions, safety, and maintenance must be provided in electronic format. Paint and Color The entire unit shall be finished in standard white paint over a primer; the pick-up head, gutter brooms, and truck frame must be finished in black. Regenerative Air System Power Unit – Diesel The auxiliary engine shall be a liquid-cooled, turbocharged, Tier 4 Final-certified electronic diesel engine with a minimum displacement of 275 cubic inches, developing no less than 99 HP at 2,200 RPM and 315 ft-lbs torque at 1,600 RPM. Cylinder construction shall utilize a wet sleeve design. The engine shall feature a radiator fan, auxiliary drive, spin-on oil/fuel filters mounted remotely for easy access, and a two-stage fuel filtration system with in-cab water-in-fuel monitoring.
