This is a design/build project. At present, there are no ballistic walls on the firing ranges. The purpose and intent of this RFQ/P is the design and construction of a ballistic wall for Range #2 at the existing Hall County Sheriff's Office firing ranges located on Allen Creek Road in Gainesville, GA. The range consists of two (2) firing ranges; however, the focus is only on Rage #2 at this time. The ballistic wall will contain any projectiles fired on Range #2 and prevent the possibility of any hazards to the public in general and the private businesses being constructed or operated near the ranges. The County requires a ballistic protection height of 60 feet from grade at a minimum. This may include any portion of the existing berm and wall. Bidders will be responsible for field verifying dimensions of the proposed ballistic wall as well as analyzing and recommending changes and conditions to the Sheriff’s Office regarding the existing berm at the end of the range.
