Riverside County isseeking proposals from public, private, nonprofit organizations and qualified individuals to provide DomesticAbuse Advocacy Intervention. Research shows that a large percentage of those who apply for and receive welfare are also likely to haveexperienced domestic abuse in their lifetime. Several studies of families on cash assistance have found thatroughly two-thirds of recipients have been abused at some point in their adult life, and that one in five has beenabused during the past 12 months.
