3. Seasonal Services Spring Cleanup To be completed no later than the second week of March: Trim all perennials and ornamental grasses. Remove expired growth to encourage healthy spring emergence. Prune dead or damaged wood and foliage from trees and shrubs to a height accessible from the ground using a pole pruner. Remove unnecessary stakes and guide wires (except in persistently windy locations). 4. Turf Maintenance Mowing and Trimming Turf areas shall be maintained at a uniform and seasonally appropriate height. Rutting, scalping, and unnecessary turf damage must be avoided. Trimming shall be performed around beds, trees, fences, utility elements, buildings, and similar obstructions. Contractor will take special care to avoid damage to vehicles, buildings, utility equipment, HVAC equipment, signs, etc. Edging Lawn edging shall be completed around all accessible hard surfaces (sidewalks, curbs, drives, etc.). Bed edges, tree wells, and other landscaped areas shall be clearly defined monthly. Only professional-grade mechanical blade edger’s are permitted. Line trimmers are not acceptable for edging. Clippings and Blowing Grass clippings shall be removed from all surfaces after mowing. Excessive clippings on turf shall be removed as needed to prevent buildup. Debris and Litter Control All turf areas shall be cleared of litter and debris (paper, plastic, limbs, etc.) during each visit. 5. Weed Control Hard Surface Areas All visible weeds growing in gaps/cracks of sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and pavement shall be chemically treated using professional-grade herbicides. Landscape Beds and Tree Rings Weeds shall be removed by manual or chemical means on a regular basis during the growing season. Pre- and post-emergent herbicides shall be applied as appropriate, following all federal, state, and manufacturer guidelines. Weeds shall be removed during each service visit.
