Development of an all-inclusive playground design that adheres to ADA guidelines and promotes play for children of all abilities. The Playground pad size is 60 x 115 feet. Please note that the playground will be located adjacent to rock climbing walls and man-made boulders for climbing; therefore, the design should complement the surrounding outdoor environment. Natural elements should be reflected in the layout and coloring of the all-inclusive playground with the use of earth tones. The City would like unique inclusive features within the playground design. While it is understood that not all elements can be fully inclusive, the City aims to incorporate a variety of features that promote inclusivity for children of all abilities. The City is particularly interested in incorporating swings, a zip line, and potentially a wheelchair accessible merry-go-round. In addition to these elements, the City encourages creative designs that feature unique play components rather than standard, modern playground equipment.
