The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia on behalf of UGA is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing CMAR services for the attached project. The project will renovate approximately 7,900 sf and will maintain the existing corridors, and the space program for the project is anticipated to include: An approximate 1,100 sf biology research lab with an associated cell culture lab and growth room An existing autoclave room equipment storage 3-station microscopy room Offices with student write-up stations 1,000 SF open research lab for an (as of time of submittal) unassigned PI with associated equipment storage Support spaces including: A new data/communications room that will serve all three floors of the south wing A reconfigured custodial closet Reconfigured restrooms to meet ADA New switchback ramp to provide ADA compliance due to the floor level change shortly after entry. A significant focus of the renovation is replacement of aged infrastructure and building systems serving the floor, including significant mechanical, electrical, plumbing improvements, fire sprinkler, fire alarm, data communications, security upgrades, and finishes throughout. The project will also include new lab casework and fume hoods.
