Area 1 is the roadway located just south of the round pavilion and the work will include the following: • Grade the parking areas adjacent to the roadway on the north and south. The control grade for the parking area is the existing roadway, curb and speed table. • Remove 1 ½ inches of the existing graded aggregate base (GAB) and the placement of 1 ½ inches of SP 12.5 Asphalt Pavement on the existing gravel areas adjacent to the roadway. The existing roadway will be milled 1 ½ inches and 1 ½ inches of SP 12.5 Asphalt Pavement will be placed. The asphalt will tie into the existing curb and speed hump at the current grades. It will also tie into the radius returns at Willie Smokie Glover Drive. • Area of GAB quantity approximately 2403 SY • Area of 1 ½ inches SP 12.5 Asphalt Pavement 6177 SY • Approximate tons of asphalt 510 TN Area 2 is the parking area running North-South to the east of Willie Smokie Glover Drive. • Grade the parking area adjacent to the center drive on the east and west. The control grade for the parking area is the existing center drive. • Remove 1 ½ inches of the existing GAB and the placement of 1 ½ inches of SP 12.5 Asphalt Pavement on the existing gravel areas adjacent to the roadway. The existing roadway will be milled 1 ½ inches and 1 ½ inches of SP 12.5 Asphalt Pavement will be placed. It will also tie into area 1 and the radius returns at Willie Smokie Glover Drive. Also, a shallow swale shall be cut and sodded between the parking area and Willie Smokie Glover Drive approximately 150 feet long, 4 feet wide and 1 foot deep to drain the water from the intersection of area 1 and Willie Smokie Glover Drive. • Area of GAB quantity approximately 1073 SY • Area of 1 ½ inches SP 12.5 Asphalt Pavement 2550 SY • Approximate tons of asphalt 210 TN • Sodding of the ditch approximately 67 SY Area 3 is the grassy/asphalt parking area south of the stadium between Willie Smokie Glover Drive and the railroad. It is a previously paved area which is overgrown with grass. The control grade for this area is Willie Smokie Glover Drive. • The work area will have double row silt fence on three sides to prevent silt from leaving the site. • Clear and grub to the existing base and reshape the existing base. Add additional GAB to address low areas in the existing base. Place 1 ½ inches of SP 12.5 Asphalt Pavement on the base area. The parking area should be graded so water will flow away from Willie Smokie Glover Drive. • Area of parking area 3 is 200 ft x 200 ft, approximately 4,444 SY. • Area of 1 ½ inches SP 12.5 Asphalt Pavement 4,444 SY • Approximate tons of asphalt 367 TN
