The Whitfield County Board of Commissioners requests bids from qualified vendors to furnish and install a standby generator with automatic transfer switch to supply power to the fire station in the event of loss of commercial power. The structure is approximately 2,400 square feet and is serviced by a 225 amp electric panel. The facility has propane gas heat and an electric water heater. The generator to be furnished and installed shall meet or exceed and include the following ratings/accessories/options: Minimum of 30Kw rating. Diesel engine driven. Weather protective enclosure with powder coat finish. 211 Gallon fuel tank with mechanical indicator gauge. EPA certified. SCAQMD certified. Digital control panel with engine function monitoring and control. Remote E-stop NFPA 110 compliant battery charger 1500W Block Heater 110AH, 925 CCA Group 31 Battery Air filter restriction indicator Battery heating pad Set of three (3) manuals 5-Year comprehensive warranty The automatic transfer switch to be furnished and installed shall meet or exceed and include the following ratings/accessories/options: 200 Amp, 3 pole, 120/240 VAC three phase, 60Hz. Set of three (3) manuals IBC Seismic certified Enclosure heater UL Listed 1008 Padlockable controller cover NEMA 3R enclosure In-Phase only transfer Two-Year basic warranty The following shall be included in final bid price: Removal of existing generator and automatic transfer switch Setting of new generator Mounting of new 200 amp automatic transfer switch New aux and start wires in separate conduit as per code Use of portable generator to be used during change over Pumping and refilling of diesel from old generator to new generator Disposal of existing generator Make all final terminations System start-up and 4 hour load bank Vendor shall supply all labor and materials to install the generator/transfer switch and shall make all electrical connections. Vendor shall provide concrete pad in accordance with the manufacture’s recommendation. May use current pad if meets spec. Vendor shall provide certification of generator testing to include full load test. Clean up and remove all debris from site when completed. Bidders must provide a schedule for completion of work. Whitfield County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids for any reason, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Whitfield County shall have the right to delete a unit item from the bid if necessary or proper in the sole determination of Whitfield County
