Administration: • Serve as the County’s Building Official • Provide management and management team to oversee required services described in this scope of work. • Provide a building department team to facilitate building code, plan review and inspection services • Apply adopted building codes applicable to the State of Georgia • Provide experience and applied knowledge in the aspects of plan review and building and construction inspections of both commercial and residential structures. • Provide and complete all agreed-upon forms, reports, letters or other correspondence as are required by the City/County. • Available for Pre-Construction meetings when necessary • Provide Continuing Improvement assessment and action plans for implementation • Participate in the development and implementation of the City & County’s objectives, policies and priorities. • Performs related work as required. • The Contractor shall review and coordinate the processing of applications for usual Community Development items. • Issue certificates of occupancy and completions • Provide reporting of activity on Key Performance Indicators on an agreed schedule. Refer to Exhibit A for Evaluation and Performance Measures contained herein this scope of work. Inspections: • Schedule and facilitate building related inspection requests. • All requested inspections shall be performed with 24 hours of submission, provided the request is received no later than 4:00 PM on the prior business day. • Administer inspections of residential and commercial and mixed-use buildings to determine compliance or lack thereof. • Perform all inspections as per adopted building codes and local amendments. • Perform code clearance inspections related to business licenses and coordinate license compliance with the County. • Issue stop-work notices as needed. • Perform inspections using best practices related to the inspection, resulting, and reporting process.
