Specifications include, but are not limited to: Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide an Athletic Program Assessment and Feasibility Studyto the University of West Georgia (hereinafter, the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP. The objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to select a Consultant to perform a comprehensive operational review and assessment of UWGs Athletics program including an analysis of competitiveness at the Division II level, factors that could improve competitiveness and an analysis of the feasibility of becoming a Division I Institution. The study will be used by UWG Administration to evaluate the feasibility of changes in the direction and scope of UWGs Athletic program. Interested Respondents must demonstrate successful completion of at least three similar studies at Universities with characteristics, including NCAA Division I or II affiliation and student population, closely matching those of UWG over the past five years. Awarded Consultant will be expected to conduct a comprehensive analysis of current resources infrastructure, organization structure and community support and benchmark the results with similar institutions. In addition, the study must provide a realistic estimate of fiscal resources requirements and potential revenue streams. Major Tasks are expected to include: - An analysis of current operations, staffing, organization, facilities, infrastructure, marketing, fan/community support and other environmental factors related to UWG Athletics. - Assessment of potential compliance issues with federal regulations related to athletics (Title IX) and NCAA regulations governing division membership - Benchmark Analysis to compare UWG to similar institutions - Review of preliminary analysis with University Advancement Team - Revision of analysis as necessary based on input from University Advancement Team - Final report to University Advancement Team - Presentation of final report analysis to University Administration The University expects to award a contract for this work no later than June 15, 2012 and requires that the final report be delivered no later than November 15, 2012.
