The building is a three story brick clad and concrete frame facility currently used to accommodate instructional and library functions on the top two floors. The ground floor accommodates space for Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant OTA), and other instructional spaces. This renovation scope will provide elevator and restrooms that are code compliant, new DDC controls, fire alarm upgrades, LED lighting, and new finishes. Space re-allocations will be made on the top two floors. The renovated facility will augment the value of the student success center by enhancing and expanding space for library study and lounge areas on the top two floors and a portion of the ground floor vacated by OTA and Nursing. Dillard Hall is a two story brick and concrete facility, the first and middle section of a larger science complex that houses classrooms and labs. This mid-century building was built in 1958 and is eligible for the National Registry of Historic Places. The Dillard Hall renovation will modernize building systems and finishes, correct exterior wall and envelope deficiencies, and bring all building infrastructure into code compliance. The First Floor of the proposed renovation accommodates OTA and Nursing program laboratories and offices which will be moved out of Roberts Library’s First Floor.
