Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.0 GENERAL INFORMATION Chatham County is soliciting bids for contractual security services for the parking garage located at 145 Broughton Street. In December 2011 the County's parking garage opened for service to the public on the weekend. The garage has five (5) levels of parking, three (3) stairwell entrances and exit points, and a passenger elevator. The purpose of the weekend opening is to provide needed parking garage service to the visiting downtown patrons. This post will consist of one (1) security guard who will work overnight hours on Friday 7:00pm - 7:00am and Saturday 7:00pm - 7:00am for a total of24 hours per weekend. The vendor is to provide uniforms, flashlights, daily security reports, incident report forms, and other equipment necessary to the guard. 4.1 The duties of the guard (s) include but are not limited to: a. The guard will clock in at the entrance gate of the County's parking garage and will make regular rounds utilizing their own motorized vehicle with logo. b. The guard will be expected to wear a uniform consisting of matching shirt and pants with company logo. No weapon is required unless specially requested for special events. c. The guard shall make a written report of any unusual or suspicious incidents and also inform the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. d. All reports shall be submitted to the garage staff at the end of each shift. Note: The roving security staff must report to the garage staff every hour
