SCRIPTION OF WORK: A. The purpose of this project is to provide new variable air volume boxes to replace aging equipment and to provide cleaner air to the building by adding bi-polar ionization and update controls. B. All ATU/VAV boxes shall be replaced and new thermostats provided and installed as noted on plans and specifications. C. The contractor shall modify ductwork and piping as required for connection to new equipment. D. The contractor shall re-insulate all ductwork in the mechanical room including supply air, return air, outside air, and mixed air ducts as noted on plans and specifications. E. All ductwork shall be cleaned. F. The contractor shall coordinate any downtime of HVAC systems to be replaced with East Georgia State College. G. The contractor shall coordinate equipment sizes and clearances with the existing conditions prior to purchase or installation of any material.
