The purpose of the project specified herein is to apply a chemical root control agent to sanitary sewers, in order to kill the root growth present in the lines and to inhibit regrowth, without permanently damaging the vegetation producing the roots. The terminology related to the chemical product shall be herbicide rather than pesticide pursuant to federal and state law. The chemical root control product being used by the contractor must meet all qualifying criteria.
