The Town of Lake Placid, Florida is soliciting qualifications and proposals from experienced legal firms to provide comprehensive municipal legal services. After more than 40 years of dedicated service, the Town Attorney has announced his resignation, and the Town is seeking a qualified firm to support ongoing operations, policy guidance, and major initiatives.
Lake Placid is a growing community with several significant projects underway, including a full Comprehensive Plan Review and Update, construction of a new Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant scheduled to come online in early 2026, and economic development activity associated with the new Amazon distribution center and the expanding US-27 corridor.
To ensure a competitive and thorough evaluation, the Town is issuing both a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and a Request for Proposals (RFP). Interested firms should submit:
- Firm qualifications and relevant municipal experience
- Attorney profiles and areas of specialization
- Proposed approach to providing ongoing legal services
- Fee schedule and billing structure
- Any additional materials supporting the firm’s capabilities
The Town seeks a responsive, highly experienced municipal law firm capable of serving a small but steady growing community and contributing to what keeps Lake Placid the Town of Charm.
