Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall be responsible for providing services for new and existing trails, firelines, pastures, vegetated areas, and other grassy areas to include saw palmetto, roots, tree areas with little to no ground cover, lyonia, gallberry, bluestem, blueberry, wax myrtle and other small to moderate woody and grassy vegetation. The Contractor shall provide all aspects of the mowing activities including, but not limited to, the supervision, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation to complete the required mowing treatment specified. Mowing Activity Types - A. Batwing Mowing of Pasture and Other Grassy Areas - Batwing mowing of pasture and other grassy areas consists of mowing areas within pastures or other predominately grassy areas and shall require all grass, part grass and part weed, and woody vegetation less than two (2) inches in diameter within the designated work area be cut to a height less than four (4) inches. Additionally, existing structures, gates, bridges, towers, headwalls, fences, signage posts, or similar objects within or encompassing the mowing areas shall be cleared with a weed eater or equivalent tool. Native grasses that are in a patch greater than or equal to one hundred (100) square feet are not to be mowed unless approved by the Project Manager.
