The City of Winter Park is seeking bids for Traffic Signal Maintenance, Restoration, and Modifications and is open to all parties that meet the requirements of this solicitation. 3.1. 3.1................................................................................General Information A. It is understood and agreed that the Contractor shall be ready within four (4) hours’ notice to perform maintenance/repairs and other traffic control device related items for the City including, but not limited to, caution lights, school flashers, and roadway safety lights. B. The Contractor shall provide qualified employees or sub-contractors who shall be available within four (4) hours’ notice day or night to include on-site consultation with the City about traffic signal problems. The Contractor shall provide the name, address, and phone numbers of their representatives to the City upon execution of this contract. Contractor’s employee(s)/subcontractors must be on-site within two (2) hours when contacted by the City in emergency situations. Failure to meet these requirements shall be grounds for termination of the contract. The Contractor shall supply all tools, equipment, manpower, parts, materials, etc. necessary to complete the required Preventative Maintenance (“PM”) or repairs. C. The Contractor shall at all times have available emergency response vehicles to be utilized during emergency maintenance calls throughout the term of this contract. Emergency vehicles shall have rotating beacons front and center or rear. D. The Contractor, in performing any work under this contract shall utilize protective signing, flashers, cones and flag persons in compliance with 600 series in the year 2014 “Design Standards” for FDOT. E. For the purposes of this bid, billing time starts when the Contractor arrives on the repair site. Contractor will be compensated for all emergency calls at a minimum of two (2) man hours and two (2) service vehicle hours.
