The Department is requesting Consultant engineering services for the design and review of structures statewide. The Consultant will provide the Department’s Structures Design Office, and supporting offices within the Department, with expertise in the design and review of Category 2 bridges as defined in the FDOT Design Manual (FDM). This includes but is not limited to rail bridges, segmental concrete bridges, steel box or steel I-girder superstructures, unique pedestrian bridges, bridge substructures designed for ship impact and scour, post-tensioned substructures, geotechnical foundation evaluations including dynamic test data and wave equation, and bridges with unique geotechnical conditions.
