Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Low Slope Roofing (Single-Ply): 1) Removal: Existing coping and edge metals shall be removed along with existing base flashings. The existing low slope membrane shall be removed down to the existing metal deck. 2) Replacement: Mechanically fasten a 60 mil PVC single ply membrane over a ¼” cover board and 4 ½” of non-tapered rigid insulation to the existing metal deck below. New edge metal, coping, and counterflashings shall be installed as detailed. b. Steep Slope Roofing (Metal Panel): 1) Removal: Remove the existing metal panel roof system down to the existing metal deck below. 2) Replacement: Install a new standing seam metal panel roof system. The new roof system shall be fastened to new plywood sheathing, which has been fastened over 4 ½” on new nontapered rigid insulation to the existing metal deck below. The plywood sheathing substrate is to be dried-in with a self-adhered waterproofing barrier prior to the installation of the metal panel roof system.
