Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Solid Waste Division (SWD) of the City of Jacksonville (COJ), Florida is currently accepting bids to obtain a source(s) of supply for the item(s) / service(s) as outlined in the bid documents provided. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, shipping and supervision required to document, load, accept, recycle, reuse and/or dispose of cooking oil generated by residents of Duval County, as delivered to Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) location of the COJ SWD. The Contractor will be required to load and remove the accumulated cooking oil from the HHW site at 2675 Commonwealth Avenue during the facility’s hours of operation, Tuesday through Saturday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The Contractor must show proof of any/all applicable permits required to accept cooking oil and written documentation of the amount of cooking oil received shall be provided to the City. The contractor will be required to provide a 250-gallon or larger holding container to be kept at the HHW facility at no cost. The contractor shall be required to service/empty the holding container at least once every 30 days and within three (3) business days of being notified that the holding container is full if such condition occurs within the standard 30-day service interval.
