SCOPE OF WORK Work shall include, but not be limited to, the cleaning of the interior and exterior of windows and glass surfaces for buildings located throughout Palm Beach County, including locations within the Glades area. Services shall be in accordance with all terms, conditions and specifications listed herein. Additionally, services shall be completed in a professional manner, in accordance with industry standards, and meet the requirement of all applicable Local, State, Federal and safety regulations. COUNTY’S RESPONSIBILITIES The County shall: 1. Provide a scope of work to all pre-qualified vendors prior to the site inspection, when applicable. 2. Conduct a site, if applicable, inspection to identify the type of service required at the location in which the service is to be performed. 3. Review the quotes submitted by the pre-qualified vendors to determine award. Commencement of work shall not begin until written notification from the designated County representative has been issued to the successful vendor in the form of a Delivery Order (DO). 4. Schedule service so as to maintain the efficient and safe working conditions of County personnel, buildings, and site operations. 5. Reserve the right to require the removal of any of the successful vendor’s employees from the project, if in the County’s judgment, such removal is necessary to protect the County’s interest. 6. Inspect the project upon completion of work, unless prior arrangements are made, with the successful vendor, to ensure that the work is acceptable. SUCCESSFUL VENDOR’S RESPONSIBILITIES The successful vendor shall: 1. Furnish at their expense all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, tools, machinery, transportation and other facilities and services necessary to complete the project in its entirety. No additional compensation shall be paid unless otherwise agreed upon. 2. Notify the designated County representative when arriving and departing from the work site. 3. Notify the designated County representative within one (1) hour of arrival to allow the representative enough time to meet with the technician at the specific location if desired. 4. Coordinate all activities with the designated County representative. 5. Be responsible for keeping all of its personnel out of areas not designated for the successful vendor’s use. 6. Ensure that only employees having the required badge clearance perform services at County buildings, and at no time shall unauthorized employees be engaged in any type of service. 7. Ensure employees wear identification that clearly displays the employee’s name, company name and/or logo. 8. Ensure that all work specified under the contract be performed by appropriately qualified and licensed personnel and are able to clearly/effectively communicate with County staff. 9. Remove waste materials, tools and equipment form job site daily and thoroughly clean the entire job area prior to requesting final inspection. 10. Complete all work to the satisfaction of the designated County representative. 11. Not use County dumpsters, trash bins, or other contracted services to dispose of the materials. 12. Arrange for a timely inspection of the completed project with the designated County representative. 13. Provide the proper lift equipment that will not cause damage to any surface.
