Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project consists of right-of-way improvements including milling and resurfacing, ADA ramps, and drainage. The Project also includes a Joint Participation Agreement (“JPA”) with the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (“MDWASD”) for the installation of an 8-inch water main, fire hydrants, and water services. The Contractor must secure all necessary permits to construct the Project, including but not limited to, a Traffic Loop Permit from Miami-Dade County and a Utility Permit from the City of Miami. Contractors shall provide separate bids for the roadway work and the water main work. Watermain work shall be funded by JPA with MDWASD. If the total watermain work bid items are over ten percent (10%) of the MDWASD estimate, then MDWASD has the option to reject the bid alternate and perform the work with its own forces. Funding for watermain work will be released after satisfactory inspection by MDWASD. Additional information concerning the Scope of Work can be found in the Construction Drawings.
