Specifications include, but are not limited to: TRAPPING OF FERAL HOGS : Vendors must contact the Port Authority prior to entering and operating on the property. Only live capture traps are permitted on LCPA Property. Trap design will be at the discretion and approval of the Port Authority. All traps must be opened top traps and allow unintended species the ability to escape the trap if capable (such as panthers, bears, raccoons, deer, birds, etc..). NO WIRE SNARE or STEEL JAW TRAP DEVICES WILL BE ALLOWED. All bait used in traps must not be harmful to the intended species or any species that may subsequently come into contact with the bait used in the traps. Traps will be placed in discrete locations on Port Authority property. Traps will never be placed in areas that are within the view of general traveling public. Traps will be rotated through different locations on the property to target areas where feral hog activity is most noticeable. Rotation of the traps will be at the discretion of the Port Authority and the vendor. At no time will canines be permitted on the property to aid in feral hog trapping or removal unless specifically requested by the Maintenance Contracts Manager. Vendors are required to be on property no less than once per week to check all traps and remove any captured hogs accordingly. REMOVAL OF FERAL HOGS FROM PROPERTY: All feral hogs trapped on Port Authority property must be removed from the property alive and transported off the property. FERAL HOGS CAN NOT BE EUTHANIZED ON AUTHORITY PROPERTY. All State required permits and licenses will be required in the trapping, removal, and transporting of feral hogs. Licenses are to be provided with the quotation packet. Licenses will be verified with the local and state governments to which they are issued. Licenses must be maintained throughout the duration of the contract.
