Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of North Miami, Florida (“City”) is hereby soliciting bids from qualified and experienced Contractors (“Bidders” or “Respondents”) to furnish all labor, equipment, materials and expertise needed to successfully perform the water main improvement project located within the City along NE 143rd Street from NE 16th avenue to NE 18th Avenue and along NE 18th Avenue from NE 143rst Street to NE 149th Street. The project is located along NE 143rd Street from NE 16th Avenue to NE 18th Avenue and along NE 18th Avenue from NE 143rd Street to NE 149th Street within the City of North Miami. The Work includes installation of a new 16-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (D.I.P.) Water Main and abandoning the existing 12-inch water main to establish the required fire flow for the area. New service lines are to be installed at the new main along with meter boxes as noted in the plans. Moreover, the Work also includes connection of the new main to the existing main at each end, valves and bends per plans. The scope of work also calls for pavement restoration, sod restoration, pavement marking restoration, milling and resurfacing of the entire lane width and coordination with existing utilities. During construction activities, the awarded Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining all access roads in good condition, including grading and drainage. The awarded Contractor shall coordinate its work with City staff and Project Engineer in a manner which does not unreasonably hinder the flow of traffic and access to adjacent property owners and/or residents. The awarded Contractor shall submit a proposed MOT for approval and shall maintain it as approved at all times during execution of the Project.
