Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City is requesting proposals to replace the current Medical Examiner’s Office Access Database with a new Electronic Medical Examniner’s Case Management System. The Medical Examiner’s Office (MEO) currently uses a Microsoft Office Access Database system developed in-house. The MEO provides services to over one million people in two districts encompassing five counties in Northeast Florida. In 2015 the MEO conducted 1,232 autopsies, 283 inspections, 187 record reviews and 7,267 cremation approval requests. As of 12/19/2016 there were a total of 118,428 records in the current MEO database (34,314 cases and 84,114 cremation approval requests). The purpose of this document is to solicit proposals from qualified contractors in order to obtain a third party solution that replaces the current system, addresses the needs of the Office and best fulfills the requirements detailed in this RFP document. The services provided by the selected contractor shall include: implementation, post-implementation, maintenance and ongoing support.
