Miami-Dade County, hereinafter referred to as the County, as represented by the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner Department (ME), is soliciting Proposals from qualified firms to provide new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This software solution will support the processing of Toxicology requests initiated in the Case Management (CM) system and enhance the operational capabilities of the Medical Examiner Toxicology Laboratory to meet increasing demand. The proposed LIMS shall enable the Toxicology Division to effectively track and process specimens with a chain of custody, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and preserving the integrity of documentation for potential legal challenges. The system must meet all applicable certifications required for an accredited Toxicology laboratory. Additionally, the proposed software solution shall be flexible, allowing for modifications to align with the unique needs of our current operations. It must also generate results in both pdf and raw data formats and facilitate seamless integration with the Case Management system.
