Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a noncompetitive procurement to Times Publishing Company d/b/a Tampa Bay Times, for the one-time purchase of an educational publication that will research, write, design, translate, print and distribute an original, bilingual (English/Spanish) educational curriculum newspaper supplement focused on Hillsborough County’s recycling program, at a total cost of $33,000.00. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(21) of the County’s Procurement Policy and is considered a sole source as the Tampa Publishing Company d/b/a Tampa Bay Times is the only known Tampa Bay area newspaper that creates and develops original educational curriculum content aligned with the Florida standards. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly.
