Specifications include, but are not limited to: Lot 1: Compute Node Expansion The aggregate of HiPerGator’s dense compute capacity is approximately 66,000 x86_64 cores, with RAM/core ratios of 4-8GiB/core depending on hardware platform. An InfiniBand network is used for both message passing and storage system access. Additionally, an Ethernet network provides access to NAS storage, WAN access, and host BMC functions. Upon completion of this expansion, approximately 30,000 x86_64 cores in aged equipment will be retired. There are three kinds of nodes to be included in the proposal: Standard Compute Nodes, Large Memory Nodes and SLURM Controllers. SLURM controller nodes will be racked by UF staff in racks UF already owns. Technical specifications for Lot 1 are provided in the first tab of the Technical Specifications Worksheet, located in the Buyer Attachments Tab. Asset recovery of UF's compute nodes marked for refresh can be part of the proposed solution, and all proposed hardware for Lot 1 is desired no later than Q1 2025. In addition to the hardware and design elements, the proposal should include factory integration (rack-and-stack, burn-in, etc.). UF will decide who will be responsible for installing the equipment
