The CONTRACTOR shall provide golf professional services, golf instruction programming, food and beverage concession, and golf shop merchandise at Park Ridge Golf Course, more specifically outlined as follows: 4.3.1 CONTRACTOR shall operate and maintain a reputable golf shop and programs, staffed with competent personnel, who reflect a positive attitude towards Park Ridge Golf Course customers, facilities, staff, and the COUNTY to oversee the day to day, golf instructional programming, merchandising and golf professional services. 4.3.2 CONTRACTOR shall initiate, develop and operate a comprehensive golf development (golf instructional) program to bring new golfers to the game of golf. 4.3.3 CONTRACTOR should seek financial grants that will assist in covering the cost of providing golf instructional programs to deserving and less fortunate members of the COUNTY community. The COUNTY may periodically request a report detailing CONTRACTOR’s efforts to obtain financial grants. 4.3.4 The CONTRACTOR shall maintain customer service as a top priority. The CONTRACTOR shall provide employees who are professional, friendly, well dressed and courteous to the golfer, COUNTY staff and general public. Employees shall maintain a neat appearance, exercise good public relations skills, respond to customer complaints and questions, have excellent telephone manners, speak positively about the facility and its operations, and conduct themselves in a high standard that is acceptable to the COUNTY. The CONTRACTOR shall also maintain a good working relationship with the golf facility management and maintenance staff. 4.3.5 CONTRACTOR shall purchase, organize and price stock and inventory so it can be sold through the point of sale system located in the golf shop. Inventory must be barcoded and entered into the point of sale system before it is placed on the floor. Pricing shall scan accurately at the point of sale and not require staff to enter additional discounts. CONTRACTOR shall provide a list of answers to frequently asked questions about merchandise to the golf course manager for distribution to the golf attendants. 4.3.6 CONTRACTOR shall have sets of golf clubs available for rent by golfers. CONTRACTOR shall have clubs available that are the current year model at a reasonable price not to exceed the highest rate for golf throughout the year. CONTRACTOR shall also provide the option for golfers to rent clubs at a lower cost which may be older brand named clubs or a lower quality current year model at a price not to exceed $25.00 (twenty-five dollars and zero cents) per set. 4.3.7 CONTRACTOR shall display merchandise in such a way as to be visually pleasing without blocking traffic routes, exits and entrances. The Golf Course Manager may limit the display of merchandise on the sales counter.
