Leon County is seeking the services of a qualified State of Florida Licensed General Contractor or Building Contractor to replace all exterior siding of a Historically Protected Building with exact match lumber. While siding is off, make any needed repairs to structure underneath. Repaint siding. Remove, save, and reuse all windows. Project will be completed in phases. A. Project Scope Project will be completed in 4 phases. The front of the building (North Facing) will be conducted in 3 phases beginning with the west front, moving to the east front, and ending with the center front, using the two chimneys as the zones. At a minimum, the project scope includes the following: • Remove and store the windows for reinstallation • Remove all the existing siding and lower frieze board • Make repairs to any damaged structure underneath (*Wood Decay) • Wrap structure with ½ inch OSB sheathing and house wrap • Install new 1x6 inch Novelty Pine siding and 12 inch lower frieze board • Reframe and reinstall window. New window and door casing detail to match existing • Prime and paint the siding and frieze board, Color: TBD • While windows are removed the contractor will need to have window openings covered with blanks for security
