a. The Contractor shall provide the City with written detailed quotes that outlines labor, parts and material cost for either repair or new installation. The quotes shall be consistent with the hourly cost on repairs and “cost-plus percentage mark-up” on parts and material and linear feet cost on new installations submitted by the Contractor. The written quotes must be approved by the City prior to the commencement of any work. However, the City reserves the right to waive this requirement. b. The City shall not pay for travel time to or from the work site. The City shall only pay the appropriate hourly rate commencing when the Contractor’s personnel reports to the City’s authorized representative and ending when the work is completed. Any costs related to travel time shall be included in the proposed hourly rate. Contractor’s hourly rates shall include full compensation for labor, equipment use, travel time and any other cost (including overhead and profit) to the Contractor. c. The Contractor shall be responsible for the location and avoidance of underground utilities. Damages shall be promptly repaired by the Contractor within twenty-four (24) hours at no expense to the City. Contractor shall contact Sunshine State One call of Florida by calling 811 at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to performing any digging to verify the exact location of existing utilities.
