Typical projects assigned under this contract may include new construction, renovation, remodeling, reroofing and other building maintenance, equipment installation, asbestos abatement, and fire code corrections. Areas requiring renovation or remodeling may include research and teaching laboratories, classrooms, library and media centers, offices and related functions, reception and waiting areas, lobbies and corridors, atriums, courtyards and plazas, modular and pre-engineered buildings, athletic facilities, and associated roadways, sitework, sidewalks, and landscaping. Projects could be located on any of Florida Atlantic University’s Campuses, special purpose centers/sites, and instructional sites. The maximum per-project construction cost is $4,000,000. Given the magnitude of projects with construction costs less than $500,000, businesses specializing in delivering small size projects are encouraged to apply.
