It is the County’s intent to explore and pursue every possible opportunity to realize efficiencies and cost savings in the operation and management of inmate food services for ECCD. The County is seeking proposals to provide all food services, with the exception of commissary products, for the inmate population of the jail, to include religious, medical and other special diets. In addition, ECCD is looking for a Contractor or Contractor(s) to provide the following additional services: • Inmate culinary art, reentry and outreach program • Onsite staff dining operation at Corrections facilities • “Mini market” operations for County staff in various locations • Food services for emergency operation staff during a disaster throughout the County • Catering services. The Jail Complex kitchen has the capacity to process meals for up to 2,000 inmates at three meals per day.
