Specifications include, but are not limited to: Construction of new shoreline stabilization systems at two separate locations within the northwest and west side of the existing Crandon Marina. The project includes installation of riprap revetment (seawall) and riprap breakwater. The first location is known as the breakwater system and involves construction of two breakwater systems including mangrove planters, dredging, filling, geotextile, rock placement (limestone – native stone); and the second location involves construction of a rock revetment including placement of rock (limestone – native stone), geotextile, sign relocation and palm tree relocation. All work is required to be conducted from the uplands, no in-water equipment or vessels are authorized. Contractor must comply with all permit requirements for both pre-construction and post-construction. Environmental permits include: FDEP, USCOE, and DERM Class 1 which includes special conditions.
