Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this IFB is to select a service provider (hereinafter “Bidder”), secure firm prices, and establish a full service contract for the provision of carpet cleaning services that are common and necessary to the operations and infrastructure of an educational facility. SBAC currently serves a population of approximately 29,000 students, located in forty-four (44) schools and centers. The District also maintains six (09) other ancillary facility sites, and approximately three hundred twenty-five (325) portable buildings. The total estimated square footage of carpet currently installed at all facilities within the District is approximately 1,600,000 (sq. ft.). This contract will supplement services currently provided by District staff. In brief, the scope of this agreement shall require Bidder to provide qualified labor, cleaning equipment, and supplies to perform carpet cleaning services on a reoccurring basis at various locations within the District. It is the intent of the District that this be a full service, all-inclusive contract. As part of services, Bidder may be required to perform other contract related work customarily provided by commercial carpet cleaning companies including, but not limited to, vacuuming carpet, and moving furniture, rugs, and floor mats.
