The City of Sanford (City), Florida hereby invites Professional Consulting Services, who are license to practice in the State of Florida, to submit proposals for the following: General Consulting Services in the specific areas only: 1. Architectural & Engineering Services 2. Civil Engineering Services B. Architect and Engineering Services 1. The awarded respondent shall perform the following work upon Contract award. i. Develop architectural and/or engineering design studies for potential projects. ii. Complete budget development for potential projects. iii. Prepare specifications and drawings for potential projects. iv. Assist the City in preparation of Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) packages for assigned projects. v. Provide construction administration services for assigned projects including periodic review of works in progress and completed projects to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. vi. Contract for and review the drawings and specifications prepared by specialty design consultants; and vii. Commission completed projects to ensure that they meet with the project drawings and specifications. 2. The following are projects phases that the awarded respondent must complete, through not all phases will be required for all projects: i. Study: Investigate the issue presented in an effort to gather sufficient information to then work to develop a resolution. ii. Design Development: Utilize the information gathered in the Study phase to design a solution to client’s issue. iii. Construction Documents: Provide documentation of the solution to the issue which can be utilized in an RFP or IFB for a contractor to implement this solution. iv. Bidding: Provide support during this phase for answers to questions or for Proposal review. v. Construction Administration: Provide administrative review over the construction process once the contract has been awarded. This often includes walk-through visits of the site, preparation of meeting minutes, incremental inspection of the work, and review of contractor applications for payment; and vi. Commissioning: Ensure that the work has been completed in compliance with the original construction documents.
