Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Work consists of furnishing materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the construction of new Lime Kiln electrical Switchgear Building at the Alexander Orr Jr. Water Treatment Plant (AOWTP) owned and operated by the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (DEPARTMENT), and located at 6825 SW 87th Ave in Miami, Florida. The intent of the project is to construct a new electrical switchgear building with provisions to accommodate a new FP&L utility feed. The new building will be located directly adjacent to Warehouse #1. The building will contain a FP&L equipment vault in addition to an electrical room and mechanical room. The site of the proposed building is a paved area. Demolition of the asphalt and relocation of utilities will be required. B. The project also includes a new redundant power feed to Well house #10. Project also includes installation of two medium voltage circuit breakers, and a unit substation to support the lime kiln system, as well as installation of lighting, panelboards, fire alarm system, receptacles, lightning protection and SCADA interface to support the building installation. C. FP&L will install the power feed to a new manhole located southwest of the existing lime feed building. From there, the Contractor will install FP&L-provided conduit to the proposed building. D. The building will be elevated above the existing grade (which is approximately at elevation +10.0’ to +12.6’ NGVD throughout the Plant) with the finished floor elevations as stated previously.
