SCOPE OF WORK

This project is for landscape improvements within FDOT rights of way throughout the City of Pensacola. This includes design and installation of irrigation, planting of vegetative coverage, placement of mulch, and placement of sod in grassed areas. The work will be performed to meet the requirements of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Beautification Grant Program consistent with the requirements of Rule 14-40.020 F.A.C.
The Florida Department of Transportation requires that the Department be involved in the approval/tagging of the plants at the growing site and that they are kept up to speed with the project progress. The Department will perform a final inspection after the City has performed their own inspection and found the project to meet the requirements of the plans.
All landscaped areas will be covered by a Rainbird irrigation system. The system shall be on a design-build basis and shall meet the specific requirements set by the City of Pensacola. Irrigation wells will be installed to provide water for the system, and the wells and power supply are included in the design-build.
